Janet Chang

Ms Janet graduated with a Bachelor of Law LLB. (Hons) at University of London (External) in year 2003. Thereafter she sat for the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) Exams and passed after one sitting (with one paper referral) in 2005. She chambered with Messrs Cheong Wai Meng & Van. Buerle in Georgetown, Penang and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 17 November 2006. She began her practice in year 2007 in Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co. specializing in Banking Litigation on Debt Recovery and Enforcement of Judgment, other civil litigation matters, Industrial Court matters and Arbitration matters. She gained valuable experiences there and had the opportunity to appear in the Court of Appeal.

After a few years specializing in litigation, she decided to expand her experience to conveyancing, property and real estate matters by joining Messrs S.K. Goh, Chan & Co. in year 2015. She oversees the firm’s conveyancing matters and also advises Developers on their various projects and developments.

She joined Messrs Ann & Anuar in September 2019, focusing her practice mainly on conveyancing, property and real estate matters.
In addition, she practices on succession matters involving probate and Small Estate administration. Besides that, she also has experiences involving family law disputes, advising clients on divorce proceedings, child custody and property distribution.

She was made a Partner with effect from | July 2023 and will oversee and be in charge of the operations of the Penang Branch, working closely with Kuala Lumpur and Subang Jaya Branches.
