Joseph Wong

Joseph Wong graduated from the University of Leeds with a Second-Class Honours (Upper Division) Law degree and was called to the Bar by the Honorable Society of Inner Temple.

Joseph began his legal career at Messrs. Shook Lin & Bok, where he developed a solid foundation in Intellectual Property Law. Over the years, he successfully managed cases involving trademark and utility innovation infringement, including securing a significant High Court victory against a construction company.
He later joined Messrs. Rosli Dahlan Saravana Partnership, where he worked on significant defamation cases, representing prominent figures such as former Malaysian Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Joseph’s experience includes representing 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) in a US$4.923 billion debt recovery action, demonstrating his capability in high-stakes financial litigation.

As a partner at Michael Tie & Co., Joseph expanded his practice to encompass general litigation, commercial law, family and divorce matters, and wills and probate. His involvement in trials and hearings at all levels, including the Federal Court, reflects his legal expertise and commitment.

Now a partner at Messrs. Ann & Anuar’s Kuala Lumpur branch, Joseph continues to deliver comprehensive legal solutions across diverse practice areas with professionalism and dedication.
